A certificate of illness (B016/11/2003) completed by a qualified doctor or dentist is required by the Board of Directors for sick leave if the absence is made for a period exceeding five (5) days of course. When a receipt for the cost of completing the certificate is filed at the same time as the filing of the completed certificate of illness, the board of directors pays an amount up to the limit set by the directives of the Alberta Medical Association. This certificate may be amended only in agreement between the parties. As of September 1, 2013, superintendents will receive two (2) days of paid personal leave per school year, at a consensual time for the principal and superintendent or designer. In the absence of agreement on whether the dates of the principal and the superintendent are consensual, the Board of Directors shall pay the unused days of paid leave until the end of June of each year at 1/200 of the annual salary and allowance of the contracting authority. . . .
